In this video workshop, I will walk you step by step through the process of building your farm's Google Business listing, and I'll keep the tech from overwhelming you. As a CSA farmer and small business owner, I speak normal English and explain what you need to do to get the job done. (Cuz God knows you don't have a lot of time to be spending on tech or SEO stuff).

  • How to claim your Google My Business Listing step by step. (Did you know you probably already have one?)
  • How to set up a new listing if you don't have one already.
  • What information to fill out in the form fields inside your profile.
  • What the "Google Map Pack" is and why you want to be in it
  • Where to find your Google reviews link and how to collect reviews from clients.
  • The factors that cause your Google listing to rank higher in the search results
  • The anatomy of a Search Engine Results page (SERP), so you can appreciate what your clients might see on a search results page about your business
  • Understanding the different ways your clients are using Google as it relates to your business -- something called "search intent"
  • The different types of Google posts and how to use them to get your profile viewed more often.

1. CLAIM YOUR LISTING -- The first step is to find out if Google has already made a listing for you. We'll find it, claim it, OR set up a new profile with the right info.

2. PERSONALIZE YOUR LISTING -- Next, I show you how to personalize your account with the right information your customers are looking for, so your listing is optimized for local customers. I'l show you all the form fields in the profile, and even give you a back-stage tour of my own profile so you can see what to type into the different sections.

3. MANAGE YOUR LISTING -- Finally, I show you some of the ways you can manage your account on a weekly basis. I'll show you how to find your unique Google review link (so you can capture reviews). I'll show you how to create the four types of Google posts and when to use them. We'll see where you can view insights and even receive messages from clients.

By the end of this workshop, you will have everything you need to create your own Google listing easily -- a process that takes about 60 minutes.
